Through an initial Provincial Government investment of approximately $700,000 work is underway to develop a provincial intensive inpatient program for people with eating disorders. The dedicated four-bed intensive care inpatient unit at the Health Sciences Complex was announced in Towards Recovery: The Mental Health and Addictions Action Plan for Newfoundland and Labrador, released in June 2017. Funding will be used for renovations, recruitment and training, and start-up costs.
Premier Ball Announces Province’s Readiness for Trade Negotiations

The Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, today announced that Jeff Loder will represent the province at the upcoming re-negotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Negotiations, which are led by the Federal Government, are scheduled to begin on August 16 in Washington, DC.

Minister Haggie Provides Update Mental Health Project Teams and Recovery Council
