Forest Fire Hazard Information Now Available Online

Forest fire hazard rating information is now available online to residents of Newfoundland and Labrador. Two new Forest Fire Hazard maps are providing the public with valuable information about the risk of wildfire occurring throughout the province. One map displays current fire weather indices while the other shows upcoming forecast information.

Public Advisory: Bishop’s Falls Trestle Closed on Monday

The Exploits River Trestle in the Newfoundland and Labrador T’Railway Provincial Park, in the Town of Bishop’s Falls, will be closed to all pedestrian and vehicle traffic from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Monday, July 10. The closure is necessary to facilitate a fireworks display in support of Bishop’s Falls River Fest.
Public Advisory: Two Sections of the T'Rail Provincial Park Reopen

Two additional sections of the T’Railway Provincial Park that were damaged by the Thanksgiving 2016 rain event have been repaired. Sections from Mary March Brook to Badger and Badger to Grand Falls-Windsor; with the exception of Dog Brook are now reopened to the public.
