Provincial Government Supporting Road Improvements in Stephenville Region

John Finn, Parliamentary Secretary for Health and Community Services and MHA for Stephenville - Port au Port, today announced on behalf of the Honourable Graham Letto, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment, that more than $426,000 has been allocated through the Small Communities Fund to improve road infrastructure in the region. Parliamentary Secretary Finn was joined for the announcement by Gudie Hutchings, MP for Long Range Mountains, and Tom Rose, Mayor of Stephenville.

Bruce Chaulk, Newfoundland and Labrador’s Chief Electoral Officer, has issued a writ of election for the by-election in Topsail – Paradise. The by-election will take place on Thursday, January 24, 2019. Advance polls will be held on Thursday, January 17 and Saturday, January 19. Applications for Special Ballot voting are now being accepted.
