The Provincial Government has engaged an independent expert to lead the assessment of the cause of the flooding event at Mud Lake. The review will be led by Dr. Karl-Erich Lindenschmidt, whose work will be supported by an engineering consultant and traditional knowledge from residents. Federal-Provincial-Territorial (F/P/T) governments today announced an agreement on a Multilateral Early Learning and Child Care Framework. This framework will result in enhancements to provincial and territorial early learning and child care systems that will improve the lives of Canadian children and their families.

Fisheries and Land Resources

Salmon Brook Bridge, located on the Salmon Pond Forest Access Road in Glenwood, will be closed to all traffic starting Wednesday, June 14, 2017. The bridge is expected to be closed for several days for repairs.

The Honourable Gerry Byrne, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour, today announced the Provincial Government is enhancing the Linkages program application process to provide faster approvals.

The Honourable Andrew Parsons, Minister of Justice and Public Safety and Attorney General, is congratulating new Newfoundland and Labrador Supreme Court Justice, Francis P. O’Brien.

Fisheries and Land Resources

The Department of Fisheries and Land Resources will hold public consultation sessions for the preparation of a new five-year operating plan located in Forest Management District 19. The intent of the sessions is to obtain feedback on proposed forestry activity.
