Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize and commend Newfoundlanders and Labradorians who in 2013-14 collectively recycled more than 162 million beverage containers through the Multi-Materials Stewardship Board’s province-wide network of Green Depots and regional collection facilities.

The alert system allows online access to updates of the province’s flood maps and establishes a risk alert system to warn local residents and travellers when flood risks are high.

Service NL announced today that Western Building Products was sentenced Tuesday, November 4, in Corner Brook Provincial Court upon pleading guilty to a violation of the Public Safety Act and Electrical Regulations. The case arose as the result of an investigation by Service NL’s western regional office in Corner Brook.
