The Honourable Paul Davis, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, today offered congratulations to the 2017 Brier Bid Committee, STEP (Sport Tourism Event Partnership) St. John’s and the City of St. John’s on the successful bid to host the 2017 Canadian Men’s Curling Championship. The winning bid was announced today by Curling Canada at an event in St. John’s.

Provincial Government Awards Addictions Prevention and Mental Health Promotion Grants

The Provincial Government has awarded $140,000 to support successful applicants under this year’s Community Addictions Prevention and Mental Health Promotion Grants Program. A total of 31 recipients across the province – including individuals, community groups and non-profit organizations – will benefit from funding to support their own initiatives for the prevention of addictions and promotion of mental health.
