Public Invited to Provide Feedback on Province’s Roads and Bridges

To help inform the development of a multi-year provincial roads plan, the Provincial Government is inviting the general public to identify sections of provincial roads and bridges that should be considered for inclusion via an online feedback form. The form can be accessed at www.roads.gov.nl.ca/multiyear_roads_plan.htm and will be open for comments from November 3-21.

Minister and Trade Delegation Promote Provincial Seafood Products in China

The Honourable Steve Crocker, Minister of Fisheries, Forestry and Agrifoods is joining a trade delegation of federal and provincial representatives at the 2016 China Fisheries and Seafood Expo in Qingdao, China. Eleven seafood producers and organizations from the province will also be attending the expo, which is taking place from November 2-4. The expo is one of the largest seafood trade shows in the world.
Members’ Compensation Review Committee (MCRC) Report Released
House of Assembly
The Honourable Tom Osborne Speaker of the House of Assembly, today released the report of the 2016 Members’ Compensation Review Committee (MCRC). Appointed in accordance with subsection 16(1) of the House of Assembly Accountability, Integrity and Administration Act, the Committee’s mandate is to inquire into and prepare a report respecting the salaries, allowances, severance payments and pensions to be paid to Members of the House of Assembly. Such a committee is required to be appointed once during each General Assembly.
