Mr. Speaker, to help develop a multi-year provincial roads plan, the Provincial Government has invited the general public to identify sections of provincial roads and bridges that should be considered for inclusion in the plan via an online feedback form.
Minister Announces Recipients of Provincial Scholarships

As part of the Provincial Scholarship program, more than $200,000 is being awarded to 201 recent high school graduates. The scholarships, which range in value from $1,000 to $2,500, are based on Public Exam results and will help students fund their post-secondary education.

Introduction of New Legislation Ensures Secure and Respectful Access to Abortion Services

The Provincial Government today introduced legislation to allow for the creation of safe access zones around health care facilities and the homes of health professionals and clinic owners providing abortion services in the province. The proposed Access to Abortion Services Act will ensure abortion services are provided in a secure, respectful and private environment.

Public Advisory: Removal of Former Placentia Lift Bridge to Temporarily Increase Tidal Flow Activity

The Department of Transportation and Works advises mariners that a temporary infill of a portion of the channel is taking place at Placentia to facilitate removal of the former lift bridge. As a result, mariners navigating through the gut will experience an increase in tidal flow. All fill materials placed in the channel will be removed upon the completion of the demolition work.
