The event will take place on Monday, November 2, at the Murphy Centre, 1 Prince Philip Drive, St. John's at 3:00 p.m.

Funding Supports CHANNAL in Peer-Led Initiative for Mental Health and Addictions

The Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Advanced Education and Skills, will attend the official opening of the Hibernia Offshore Operations Simulator Facility tomorrow (Friday, October 30). The simulator is the latest in training technology for the offshore oil and gas sector. It will be used to train new and existing offshore personnel to perform complex tasks such as positioning and mooring offshore rigs and supply platforms in harsh working environments. The event takes place at the Marine Institute, 155 Ridge Road, St. John's at 10:30 a.m.

The Provincial Government is developing a 10-year strategy to end homelessness in Newfoundland and Labrador, with several initiatives already underway. Work on the strategy is being informed by recommendations contained in an independent consultant's report entitled A Roadmap for Ending Homelessness in Newfoundland and Labrador, prepared by Orgcode Consulting Inc., and released earlier this year.

Inmates at Bishops Falls Correctional Centre Participate in Eyeglass Recycling Program

Inmates and Correctional Officers at the Bishops Falls Correctional Facility (BFCC) have partnered with the Lions Clubs of Newfoundland and Labrador to establish a satellite eyeglass recycling depot at the facility.
