St. John’s Convention Centre Celebrates Grand Opening

On June 15, the City of St. John’s, in partnership with the Government of Canada and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, officially opened the newly redeveloped St. John’s Convention Centre, following an expansion valued at approximately $70 million. The Honourable Christopher Mitchelmore, Minister of Business, Tourism, Culture and Rural Development, attended the official re-opening of the convention centre.
Enhancements Strengthen Inclusion Program for Regulated Child Care

Today, the Provincial Government announced enhancements to the Inclusion Program, a voluntary option for eligible child care services to support the inclusion of all children in regular child care programming. The changes will come into effect in the fall of 2016.
