Provincial Government Announces Recipients of Student Employment Grants

High school students will have the opportunity to gain work experience this summer with 2,800 weeks of available employment. This will create 469 jobs supported through the Student Summer Employment Program – High School and made possible via $780,000 in funding. This program allows non-profit organizations throughout the province to avail of a wage subsidy to assist with the hiring of high school students for the summer.
Healthy Aging Research Program Funds Seven Projects
Seniors, Wellness and Social Development
Seven research projects that focus on healthy aging have received a total of $87,500 through the Newfoundland and Labrador Healthy Aging Research Program. The program provides support for a wide range of research related to the utilization of health care services, chronic pain and health care education for seniors.
MV Veteran Returns to Service at Fogo Island - Change Islands - Farewell

Public Advisory: Residents Encouraged to Check Expiry of Vehicle Registrations and Licences
Service NL
Due to the possibility of an interruption in postal service, Service NL encourages residents to check the expiry dates associated with their vehicle registrations and driver’s licence, as the Provincial Government will be unable to send reminder notices or completed registration materials if postal service is disrupted. Vehicle registration stickers indicate the month a vehicle registration will expire. Vehicle registrations must be renewed by the last day of that month. The expiry date for a driver’s licence is printed on the card. Licences must be renewed by this expiry date.
