Provincial Government Launches Climate Change Action Plan

Today, the Honourable Graham Letto, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment, launched the Provincial Government’s climate change action plan: The Way Forward on Climate Change. The Way Forward on Climate Change contains actions that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions from across the economy, stimulate clean innovation and growth, and build resilience to the impacts of climate change.

Provincial Government Presents Submission on Bill C-69 to Senate

The Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Honourable Siobhan Coady, Minister of Natural Resources, were in Ottawa today to present the Provincial Government’s submission on Bill C-69, which proposes to replace the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, 2012 with the Impact Assessment Act – setting a new federal process for impact assessments of major projects.

Emma Mullett from St. John’s has won a bronze medal at the 2019 Canada Winter Games in female judo. This is the second medal for Team Newfoundland and Labrador so far at these Winter Games in Red Deer, Alberta.
