Province to Host Forum of Labour Market Ministers Secretariat

Voting for the Angler’s Choice stream of the International Year of the Salmon Fly Competition is now open. A panel of some of the province’s finest fly-tying enthusiasts has compiled a shortlist of the most commonly used salmon flies on Newfoundland and Labrador’s rivers. The design that lands the most votes will be designated Newfoundland and Labrador’s Salmon Fly. The winning fly will be announced May 1.

Today, the Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, was joined by the Honourable Seamus O’Regan, Minister of Indigenous Services for the Government of Canada, to announce an agreement that ensures Newfoundlanders and Labradorians are the principal beneficiaries of their offshore resources, strengthens how those resources are developed through joint management, and will also achieve electricity rate mitigation.
