This award will recognize an individual, living or deceased, who has made and/or continues to make a meaningful contribution to advancing and furthering human rights in the province.
Registration Open for High School Supplementary Exams
Education and Early Childhood Development
Registration for high school supplementary exams is now open and will close on October 18. Students who have had their June exams deferred or who wish to improve their scores can write supplementary exams in early November.
Public Advisory: Public Asked to Cease Timber Harvesting in the South West River Valley

The Department of Fisheries and Land Resources has been made aware of alleged threats to the physical safety of domestic and commercial harvesters in the Southwest River Valley, near Port Blandford. The alleged threats were made on social media by individuals possibly attempting to thwart forest harvesting activity in the area. The RCMP have been notified.

The Department of Fisheries and Land Resources has received several complaints over the past few days about the presence of a black bear in Snook’s Harbour and neighboring communities. Conservation officers have investigated and set a trap in an effort to capture and relocate the animal.
