Public Advisory: Black Bear Warning Issued for Corner Brook Area

There has been a report of a black bear sighting in Corner Brook in the Fillatre Avenue – Sunnyslope Drive area. Conservation officers are monitoring and advise residents to take appropriate steps to avoid encounters with black bears. Anyone sighting a black bear in this area is asked to call the Forestry and Wildlife District Office in Massey Drive at 637-2370 or the standby number at 632-9897.
