Interim CEO Appointed at The Rooms

Anne Chafe has been appointed as the interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Rooms Corporation of Newfoundland and Labrador effective immediately. Ms. Chafe replaces Dean Brinton who had served in the role since 2005.

Appointment Made to the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board

The Honourable Siobhan Coady, Minister of Natural Resources and the Honourable Amarjeet Sohi, Minister of Natural Resources Canada today announced the appointment of Roger Grimes as the Chair of the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB). Mr. Grimes’s appointment is for a six-year term. The appointment was made through the merit-based appointment process established by the Independent Appointments Commission Act.
International Year of the Salmon Fly Competition Winners Announced

The Honourable Gerry Byrne, Minister of Fisheries and Land Resources, today announced winners of the provincial salmon fly competition commemorating International Year of the Salmon in 2019.
