Provincial Government Issues Public Tender for Enhancements at College of the North Atlantic Corner Brook Campus

The Honourable Eddie Joyce, Minister of Municipal Affairs, the Honourable Andrew Parsons, Minister of Justice and Public Safety and MHA for Burgeo-La Poile, and officials of Service NL and Municipal Affairs met with Mayor Clyde Dominie and the Town Council of Ramea, via teleconference Thursday. The purpose of the meeting was to provide an update on work being undertaken to improve water quality in the community following a recent storm surge which resulted in salt water getting into the town’s water supply.

Motorists are advised that the Trans-Canada Highway near Salmonier Line remains on schedule to reopen to traffic on Saturday, January 7, following a successful day on site. Two new culverts are now in place and crews are beginning to back fill the site. The contractor will once again work throughout the night.
