In our most recent reporting period (April 1 – June 30, 2019), the OIPC received 63 privacy breach reports from 23 public bodies under the ATIPPA, 2015. This is a decrease from the 75 breaches reported in the in the previous reporting period; however, the number of public bodies increased from 21 to 23.

Since 2015, more than 1,500 individuals from the K-12 school system have completed this ASD training.

Key Milestone Achieved in Procurement Modernization

As part of the Provincial Government’s commitment to modernizing procurement, a contract has been awarded to Merx Network Inc. to implement and manage an electronic procurement solution for e-bidding. E-bidding will help save time and money by eliminating the need to drop off a paper copy to the procurement offices within Tendering and Contracts or the Public Procurement Agency.
