The Honourable Felix Collins, Attorney General, will attend the Beaumont Hamel 98th Commemoration ceremony in Ottawa tomorrow (Tuesday, July 1). The event begins at 8:30 a.m. at the National Aboriginal Veterans Memorial, Elgin Street. Minister Collins will be laying a wreath on behalf of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.
New Whistleblower Legislation to Come into Force

Legislation which protects the integrity of the public service in Newfoundland and Labrador will come into force tomorrow (Tuesday, July 1). The Public Interest Disclosure and Whistleblower Protection Act allows public service employees to disclose serious and significant wrongdoings without fear or threat of reprisal.
$1.6 Million Announced for New Municipal Building for Steady Brook

To support this continued growth, the Provincial Government is announcing $1.6 million cost-shared with the Town of Steady Brook for the construction of a new municipal building.
