Fisheries and Aquaculture -- Nova Scotians are invited to share their feedback on the Province’s aquaculture regulations during four weeks of public consultation.

Fisheries and Aquaculture -- Community groups, fishing-related organizations and others can once again access funding to support ocean and shoreline cleanup projects throughout Nova Scotia.

Public Works -- Residents and visitors in the Mira River area no longer have to take a 20-kilometre detour thanks to the completion of the Mira Gut Bridge, a major link in Cape Breton’s road network, which officially opened today, August 5.

Lieutenant-Governor -- NOTE: The list of Nova Scotians receiving medals today follows this release. Today, August 4, more than 60 Nova Scotians were awarded Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal in recognition of significant service to the province. The inaugural investiture ceremony took place at the Westin Nova Scotian in Halifax.

Office of Addictions and Mental Health -- More addiction recovery supports are now available for people living in the Annapolis Valley area who have a substance use or gambling disorder.

Team Nova Scotia -- Athletes from across Nova Scotia will travel to Ontario’s Niagara region on Friday, August 5, to compete at the 2022 Canada Summer Games.

Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage / Premier's Office -- The Province is investing $2 million to make the deCoste Centre for Arts and Creativity and the Pictou Library a cultural hub.

Municipal Affairs and Housing -- The provincial and federal governments are providing $650,000 to help create the Black Communities Housing Technical Resources Centre, which will help Black communities and Black-led organizations across Canada improve housing outcomes for Black and racialized communities.

African Nova Scotian Affairs -- Nova Scotia will mark August 1 as Emancipation Day to honour the anniversary of the British parliament’s decision to abolish slavery across its empire in 1834.

L'nu Affairs / Status of Women -- The governments of Nova Scotia and Canada are investing more than $8 million to support the construction of the new Resilience Centre in Millbrook First Nation.

Economic Development -- The government is helping homes and businesses get internet where there is no access to wired or wireless solutions.
