Public Works -- New regulations for commercial vehicles that will improve safety and align Nova Scotia with federal requirements will take effect January 1.

Municipal Affairs and Housing -- The Province is investing more than $3.5 million in water and wastewater infrastructure in Kings County.

Health and Wellness -- NOTE: The following is a statement from Michelle Thompson, Minister of Health and Wellness. Today, December 21, we released the Annual Accountability Report on Emergency Departments. The report shows what our healthcare professionals and many Nova Scotians already know – our emergency departments have been pushed to the limit.

Lieutenant-Governor -- Nova Scotians are invited to attend the annual Lieutenant-Governor’s New Year’s Day Levée on Sunday, January 1, in Halifax.

Justice -- The Province has appointed Alonzo Wright, KC (King’s counsel), as Director of the Serious Incident Response Team (SiRT).

Justice -- The Province is investing $4.1 million in the community-led African Nova Scotian Justice Institute, established just over a year ago to help develop policy and support programs to address overrepresentation and anti-black racism in the justice system.

Office of Healthcare Professionals Recruitment / Labour, Skills and Immigration -- A new orientation program that will help welcome and settle 140 doctors trained outside of Canada over the next three years will soon launch in Nova Scotia.

Finance and Treasury Board -- Les gens de la Nouvelle-Écosse peuvent soumettre leurs idées pour le prochain budget provincial et les budgets subséquents en participant aux consultations prébudgétaires annuelles.

Finance and Treasury Board -- Nova Scotians can share their thoughts and ideas for the next provincial budget and future budgets by taking part in annual pre-budget consultations.

Finance and Treasury Board -- The second update on Budget 2022-23 shows strong economic activity has increased revenue, allowing the Province to invest more in priority areas and support Nova Scotians with the cost of living.

Municipal Affairs and Housing -- Investments from all three levels of government mean there will soon be 12 more safe, affordable places to live in Dartmouth.

Premier's Office -- Premier Tim Houston hosted a virtual meeting of the Council of Atlantic Premiers today, December 19.

Advanced Education / Municipal Affairs and Housing -- The Province is investing $8 million to help maintain student residences, increase student housing options and ease pressure on the housing supply.

Natural Resources and Renewables -- Nova Scotia Power will be using more sustainably harvested biomass over the next three years under a new renewable electricity standard.

Environment and Climate Change -- The Province has made changes to two sets of regulations to help support the transition to clean energy. The changes are specific to the green hydrogen sector and were made to ensure the sector has clear, easy-to-understand information about the environmental regulations they must adhere to in Nova Scotia.

Justice -- The Government of Nova Scotia Accessibility Plan 2022-25, released today, December 19, builds on progress made since the inaugural plan was issued in 2018.
