The National Governors Association (NGA) of the United States, the Council of the Federation (COF) of Canada and the National Conference of Governors (CONAGO) of Mexico today announced the inaugural Summit of North American Governors and Premiers will be held October 30-31 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States. The summit will be attended by United States and Mexican governors and Canadian premiers.
Premier Davis Celebrates Opening of New Labrador West Health Centre

The new Labrador West Health Centre was officially opened today by the Honourable Paul Davis, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador. The state-of-the-art facility represents an investment of approximately $90 million by the Provincial Government. Premier Davis was joined by the Honourable Steve Kent, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health and Community Services; Nick McGrath, MHA for Labrador West; and Tony Wakeham, President and Chief Executive Officer, Labrador-Grenfell Health, for the announcement.

Stephenville Sets Out to Market Military History

The Stephenville Cultural Destination Development Committee is working to market the town as a military cultural destination with support from the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. The Provincial Government is committing $63,000 to the initiative which includes producing a marketing plan for the town.

Municipal Ticketing To Be Expanded to Six Towns
