The Newfoundland and Labrador Information and Privacy Commissioner Michael Harvey is proud to announce the issuance of a joint resolution endorsed by all of Canada’s Information and Privacy Commissioners. Canada’s access to information and privacy guardians note that along with its many benefits, the rapid advancement of technologies has had an impact on fundamental democratic principles and human rights, including access to information and privacy. They further point out that Canadians have growing concerns about the use and exploitation of their personal information by both government and private businesses.

Regional Pastures Program Providing More Forage for Livestock

2019 Call for Bids Released for Newfoundland and Labrador’s Offshore

Today, the Honourable Siobhan Coady, Minister of Natural Resources, responded to the announcement that bids for exploration licenses offshore have been received as a result of the most recent calls for bids in the South Eastern Newfoundland Region and Jeanne d'Arc Regions, both located in the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Area. There was a cumulative total of $38.6 million in bids. The Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (C-NLOPB) released the successful bids today at www.cnlopb.ca/news/nr20191106/ .

Amendment Introduced to Labour Standards Act to Make it Consistent with Federal Changes to Parental Leave Benefit
