Justice -- The provincial and federal governments have appointed a Founding Chair of the committee that will monitor and report on the implementation of the recommendations from the final report of the Mass Casualty Commission.

-- Le feu de forêt, d’une taille estimée de 788 hectares, reste incontrôlé.
-- Les équipes d’incendie sont en train d’intervenir pour répondre à l’intensification des feux dans les régions de Taylor Lake et de Sandy Lake, à Hammonds Plains.
--En raison d’une fuite possible d’ammoniac, les résidents des rues suivantes, à Bedford, doivent évacuer : rue Olive, rue Bernard, rue Estelle, rue Lewis, Farmers Dairy, Giles, Bluewater Rd., Topsail, Command, Gary Martin, Lasalle, Castlestone et Hammonds Plains Rd, de l’intersection de Giles à l’intersection de Larry Uteck Dr.
-- 46 pompiers du ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Énergies renouvelables (RNER) et 100 pompiers de la Municipalité régionale d’Halifax (MRH) et du ministère de la Défense nationale sont sur place.

-- the wildfire, estimated at 788 hectares, remains out of control
-- fire crews are responding to increased fire activity in the Taylor Lake and Sandy Lake areas of Hammonds Plains
--due to a potential ammonia leak, residents from the following streets in Bedford are required to evacuate; Olive St, Bernard St, Estelle St, Lewis St, Farmers Dairy, Giles, Bluewater Rd., Topsail, Command, Gary Martin, Lasalle, Castlestone and Hammonds Plains Rd from the intersection of Giles to intersection of Larry Uteck Dr.
-- 46 Department of Natural Resources and Renewables (DNRR) firefighters, and 100 Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) and Department of National Defence firefighters on scene
-- three helicopters also on scene.

-- 40 pompiers du ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Énergies renouvelables (RNER) et 80 pompiers de la Municipalité régionale d'Halifax (MRH) et du ministère de la Défense nationale sont sur place.
-- 3 hélicoptères de RNER sont également sur place.
-- Des rafales prévues de 30 km/h aujourd'hui 30 mai pourraient causer une propagation supplémentaire du feu cet après-midi.
-- Les équipes d'incendie se concentrent sur la protection des maisons et d'autres structures, sur le renforcement du périmètre du feu et sur les points menaçants.
-- À l'heure actuelle, la MRH estime qu'environ 200 maisons et structures ont été endommagées.
Update on Wildfires in Halifax Regional Municipality and Shelburne, Yarmouth Counties
Natural Resources and Renewables -- Westwood Hills, Tantallon, wildfire update:
-- the wildfire, estimated at 788 hectares, remains out of control
-- 40 Department of Natural Resources and Renewables (DNRR) firefighters, and 80 Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) and Department of National Defence firefighters on scene
-- three DNRR helicopters also on scene
-- winds expected to gust up to 30km/h throughout today, May 30, so fire may spread further this afternoon
-- fire crews focused on protecting houses and other structures, reinforcing fire perimeters and specific areas of concern like hotspots
-- the current estimate from HRM is about 200 homes and structures have been damaged.
Support for Nova Scotians Impacted by Wildfires; Provincewide Burn Ban
Natural Resources and Renewables / Premier's Office -- Nova Scotians who have been severely impacted by recent wildfires will receive financial support from the Province.
Update on Wildfires in Halifax Regional Municipality, Shelburne County
Natural Resources and Renewables -- Westwood Hills, Tantallon, wildfire update:
-- the wildfire, estimated to cover 788 hectares, is out of control
-- crews on scene include 32 from the Department of Natural Resources and Renewables (DNRR), 170 from Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) and seven from the Department of National Defence
-- 30 HRM fire trucks, two DNRR helicopters and one water bomber from Newfoundland and Labrador also on scene
-- winds expected to gust up to 40 km/h throughout today, so fire may spread further south
-- various structures in the community may be damaged.

Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission -- The independent human rights board of inquiry in the matter of Beth MacLean, Sheila Livingstone, Joseph Delaney and Disability Rights Coalition of Nova Scotia vs. Province of Nova Scotia and Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission will resume to discuss a remedy on June 6 in Halifax.
