The Town of Carbonear is expanding and renovating the Princess Sheila NaGeira Theatre so it can diversify and accommodate larger scale events, including theatre productions and other shows. The expansion involves the construction of a large multi-purpose room, a kitchenette and an improved and bigger backstage area, including renovated dressing rooms and washrooms.

Mr. Speaker, in October our government, in partnership with Bluedrop Performance Learning, launched SkillsPass NL. These online programs are targeted to help owners, managers, employees and job seekers gain employability skills, save time and money by being prepared for inspections, and ensure personal and public safety by complying with regulations.

Justice and Public Safety

The Honourable Andrew Parsons, Minister of Justice and Public Safety and Attorney General, will introduce amendments to the Correctional Services Act that will facilitate seeing the Act proclaimed and regulations coming into force over the next year.
