Natural Resources and Renewables -- Efficiency Nova Scotia’s ability to help Nova Scotia achieve its clean energy goals will be strengthened by amendments to the Public Utilities Act introduced today, October 21.

Municipal Affairs and Housing -- The Province is making significant changes in how public housing is managed to improve services for Nova Scotians in need.

Office of Regulatory Affairs and Service Effectiveness -- Nova Scotians can share their ideas to reduce red tape using the Province’s new Report Red Tape Tool, released today, October 20, during Small Business Week.

Advanced Education -- Changes to the provincial student loan program will make post-secondary education more affordable and accessible for students and graduates in Nova Scotia.

Office of Addictions and Mental Health / Premier's Office -- Strongest Families Institute is Nova Scotia’s recipient of the Council of the Federation Award for Innovation in Mental Health and Addictions Care.

Justice -- The government will hold virtual discussions next week on further improving the Powers of Attorney Act.

Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission -- Five Nova Scotians have recently been appointed to the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission.

Economic Development / Public Works -- The Province is creating two new Crown corporations to increase accountability, drive economic growth and support businesses to grow and prosper.

Natural Resources and Renewables -- Amendments to the Public Utilities Act introduced today, October 19, will help protect ratepayers from power rate increases related to Nova Scotia Power’s general rate application now before the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board (NSUARB).

Municipal Affairs and Housing -- An independent report on barriers to housing development in Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) recommends strong action to improve efficiency and increase supply.
