Community Services -- À compter d'aujourd'hui 12 octobre, les Néo-Écossais peuvent présenter une demande au programme de subventions d'innovation en matière de prévention de la violence sexuelle pour un montant pouvant s'élever à 5 000 $. Community Services -- Starting today, Oct. 12, Nova Scotians can apply for Sexual Violence Prevention Innovation Grants of up to $5,000. The grants support community groups and organizations, including youth and marginalized groups to reach out to their peers and build healthier, safer and more resilient communities.

Premier's Office -- Government built on its solid fiscal plan and momentum created by Nova Scotians during the fall 2018 sitting of the 63rd General Assembly, which wrapped up today, Oct. 11.

Health and Wellness -- Two new public health physicians are now practising in Nova Scotia.

Environment -- The province has granted Lafarge Canada Inc. industrial approval to use tires as a low-carbon fuel at its Brookfield cement plant in Colchester County.

Executive Council -- Les Néo-Écossais ont l'occasion de se mettre au service de leur communauté et de développer leur carrière en devenant membres de l'un des 150 conseils, agences et commissions de la province. Nova Scotia Business Inc. -- Nova Scotia Business Inc. (NSBI) has announced a newly approved production through the Nova Scotia Film and Television Production Incentive Fund today, Oct. 9.

Premier's Office -- Air, sea and army cadets will celebrate Cadet Day at a flag raising ceremony at Province House in Halifax on Saturday, Oct. 6.

Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal -- CONTINUING WORK

Immigration -- Nova Scotia will be represented in the United Kingdom (U.K.) and Ireland next week in efforts to attract more family doctors and specialists to the province. Fourteen new doctors have already been approved through the new Physician Immigration Stream since it launched in February.

Intergovernmental Affairs -- The province and a leading Nova Scotia seafood exporter have been recognized for achieving commercial success in China.

Municipal Affairs -- Oct. 7-13 is Fire Prevention Week and Nova Scotians are reminded of essential steps around how to escape safely in the event of a fire.

Human Rights Commission -- Nova Scotians are encouraged to nominate individuals and groups for the 2018 Human Rights Awards.

Premier's Office -- The redevelopment of the QEII Health Sciences Centre is a once in a generation opportunity to rebuild and improve the way health care is delivered in Nova Scotia.

Public Service Commission -- The Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union (NSGEU) and the Public Service Commission today, Oct. 3, officially opened the Office of Workplace Mental Health.

Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal -- Nova Scotia’s outdated Motor Vehicle Act is being replaced with a new, modern Traffic Safety Act that will help make the province’s roads and highways safer.
