Speaker's Office -- Speaker of the House of Assembly Kevin Murphy and Gaelic Affairs Minister Randy Delorey unveiled the Nova Scotia House of Assembly tartan today, April 5, at Province House in Halifax. The tartan was made to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Province House this year.

Finance and Treasury Board -- Government is introducing new and expanded non-refundable tax credits to encourage investment in Nova Scotia’s small and medium-sized businesses.

Finance and Treasury Board -- Finance and Treasury Board Minister Karen Casey introduced the Financial Measures (2019) Act today, April 4.

Business -- Government introduced two legislative amendments today, April 3, that deal with Emera Inc.

Energy and Mines -- Government has revoked the marine renewable-electricity licence issued to Cape Sharp Tidal Venture.

Justice -- The RCMP and the province are adding the homicide of Laura Ross to the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program. The program offers up to $150,000 to anyone who shares information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the crime.

Nova Scotia Business Inc. -- Nova Scotia Business Inc. (NSBI) has approved two business development incentives in the form of payroll rebates for Introhive Services (NS) Inc. and PitchPerfect Software Inc. doing business as Proposify, to expand their operations in Halifax.

Communities, Culture and Heritage -- Volunteers from across Nova Scotia were honoured at the province's 45th annual Provincial Volunteer Award Ceremony today, April 1, for their selfless contributions.

Labour and Advanced Education -- Nova Scotians are encouraged to recognize outstanding contributions to literacy and learning by nominating someone for the Council of the Federation Literacy Award.

Communities, Culture and Heritage -- An exhibition celebrating the works of Maud Lewis and six other contemporary female Nova Scotian artists are once again part of the Nova Scotia cultural trade mission to China this spring.

Finance and Treasury Board -- The province is writing off $23.9 million in debts considered uncollectable as of March 31.

Environment -- Environment Minister Margaret Miller released her decision today, March 29, on the environmental assessment of Northern Pulp’s proposed effluent treatment plant.

Service Nova Scotia -- Sport teams, legions, religious organizations and other non-profit groups can now apply online for ticket lottery permits.

Justice -- Attorney General and Minister of Justice Mark Furey today, March 28, directed police across the province to immediately cease using street checks as part of a quota system or performance measurement tool.
