Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal -- NEW WORK

Justice -- A small amount of fentanyl was seized at the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility in Halifax Regional Municipality on Aug. 8, 2018.

Community Services -- With changes to wage exemption rules, clients receiving income assistance who are self-employed or who receive tips, gratuities and commissions, will now have more money in their pockets. As of May 1st, people are able to keep more of this income before seeing a reduction in their income assistance payments.

Premier's Office -- Premier Stephen McNeil announced today, May 15, that a byelection will be held in the constituency of Sackville-Cobequid on Tuesday, June 18.

Human Rights Commission -- An independent human rights board of inquiry into the matter of Kathleen Symington v. Halifax Regional Municipality Fire and Emergency Services will begin Tuesday, May 21, in Halifax.

Status of Women -- Government announced annual funding for the Nova Scotia Native Women’s Association of $205,700 today, May 15, at an event at Glooscap First Nation.
