The The Honourable Siobhan Coady, Minister of Natural Resources, today at Mineral Resources Review 2017 discussed recently released research by the Geological Survey that highlights the potential for new discoveries of gold and other metals in central Newfoundland. At a recent ceremony, Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Officer Travis McDonald was announced as the 2016 Provincial Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Officer of the Year and the 2016 Shikar–Safari Club International Wildlife Officer of the Year for Newfoundland and Labrador. Mr. McDonald received the award during the Ninth Annual Uniformed Services Gala held at Canadian Forces Station in St. John’s.
