The play is written by playwright Paul David Power and shares his true experiences of growing up with a physical disability and grief after loss. The premiere begins 8:00 p.m. at the LSPU Hall, 3 Victoria Street, St. John’s, followed by a reception at 9:30 p.m.

Provincial Government Establishes Minister’s Roundtable on Immigration

The Provincial Government today established a Minister’s Roundtable on Immigration, a key commitment in The Way Forward on Immigration in Newfoundland and Labrador. Led by the Honourable Al Hawkins, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour, the Roundtable on Immigration is the first of its kind in the province. It brings together representatives of various sectors including the business community, labour, the K-12 education system, post-secondary institutions, municipalities, community organizations and service providers. The highest honour that can be bestowed in the province, the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador is awarded to those individuals who have made significant contributions and whose efforts have significantly impacted the lives of their fellow residents.
Agriculture Land Development Pilot Project Launched in Western Region

The Department of Fisheries and Land Resources is undertaking a large-scale land development pilot project to further improve access to Crown Land for agriculture. For the first time, new and existing farmers interested in commercial fruit and vegetable production are being invited to submit proposals to lease property that is being prepared for agriculture development.
Provincial Government Reaches Collective Agreements with NAPE

The Provincial Government today announced it has reached collective agreements with 15 bargaining units represented by the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE). This agreement is for a term of four years, with just over two years remaining. The agreement will expire on March 31, 2020.
