Municipal Affairs -- A transition co-ordinator has been appointed to manage the consolidation of the Windsor and West Hants municipalities.

Health and Wellness -- Government and the IWK Health Centre announced plans today, Dec. 4, to double the size of the emergency department and replace an aging MRI scanner.

Labour and Advanced Education -- Today, Dec. 4, the Research Nova Scotia Act was proclaimed, its regulations enacted, and the 12 members of the inaugural board appointed.

Premier's Office -- Four heroes were honoured with a Medal of Bravery at a ceremony held today, Dec. 4, at Province House in Halifax.

Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation (from July 2018) -- Lottery tickets are go-to stocking stuffers for many Nova Scotians during the holidays, but parents, caregivers, family members and friends are reminded not to gift lottery tickets or encourage lottery play with minors.

Status of Women -- Government will work with Mi’kmaw and African Nova Scotian organizations to develop new supports for survivors of gender-based violence and their families.

Service Nova Scotia -- Two men face charges after illegal cigarettes were seized following an investigation by Service Nova Scotia's Compliance and Special Investigations Unit.

African Nova Scotian Affairs / Communities, Culture and Heritage -- A new community centre, to be built in Acaciaville, Digby Co. will celebrate the life and heritage of African Nova Scotians and will be a gathering place for generations of families.
