Team Nova Scotia -- A sea of blue will fill the Centrium arena in Red Deer, Alta. on Friday, Feb. 15, when Team Nova Scotia athletes march in the opening ceremony of the 2019 Canada Winter Games.

Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal / Health and Wellness -- Government and Nova Scotia Health Authority are improving cancer care by relocating the province’s busiest lab where chemotherapy treatment is prepared.

Communications Nova Scotia -- Some provincial government offices in Nova Scotia are now closed, today, Feb. 13, due to weather conditions.

Communities, Culture and Heritage -- Nova Scotian folk artist Maud Lewis is being honoured on Heritage Day, Monday, Feb. 18.

Tourism Nova Scotia / Develop Nova Scotia -- The province announced today, Feb. 12, it is developing a visitor experience strategy for the Halifax Harbour islands, at a cost of about $100,000. The focus will be on Georges and McNabs Islands.

Speaker's Office -- Lt.-Gov. Arthur J. LeBlanc, together with Premier Stephen McNeil and House of Assembly Speaker Kevin Murphy, commemorated the 200th anniversary of Province House in Halifax today, Feb. 11, during an official ceremony in the legislative chamber.

Communities, Culture and Heritage -- Cape Breton Regional Municipality will purchase three buses to add to its existing public transportation fleet with $250,000 provided by the province.

Health and Wellness -- More junior high and high school students in Nova Scotia are now able to access mental health support through expanded outreach programs.

Communities, Culture and Heritage -- The province is helping the Nova Scotia Talent Trust celebrate 75 years of supporting young artists with additional funding to help them turn dreams into careers.

Environment -- The proposed new Northern Pulp effluent treatment plant project registered for environmental assessment today, Feb. 7.

Environment -- Nova Scotians will be able to recycle used oil and glycol and more electronics next year through expanded extended producer responsibility programs.

Community Services -- Government is boosting support for day programs for youth with disabilities.

Fisheries and Aquaculture -- Fisheries and Aquaculture Minister Keith Colwell will lead a group of industry representatives on an eight-day mission to Tasmania, Australia on Thursday, Feb. 7, to help build business relationships and learn more about best practices.
