Justice -- At about 7:50 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, an inmate at the Central Nova Correctional Facility in Dartmouth was assaulted by other inmates.

Nova Scotia Business Inc. -- Nova Scotia Business Inc. (NSBI) has approved a business development incentive in the form of an innovation rebate for fish harvesting and processing company Scotia Harvest Inc., in Digby.

Tourism Nova Scotia -- Nova Scotia welcomed 1,247,200 overnight visitors between June and September 2019, the peak summer tourism season.

Restorative Inquiry -- The Nova Scotia Home for Colored Children Restorative Inquiry presented its final report to government at its closing ceremony in Halifax today, Nov. 28. The inquiry was the first in Canada to design and model a restorative approach to public inquiry. The report shares the innovative process by outlining how it supported government, public agencies and community together to appreciate the need and work collectively for a fundamental shift in how the province cares for its most vulnerable citizens.

Health and Wellness -- People living with HIV/AIDS and those who have died from the disease are being honoured today with the raising of a red ribbon flag at Province House in Halifax.

Premier's Office -- The province has reached new agreements with Doctors Nova Scotia that invest $135 million more in heath care over the next four years, making doctors’ compensation more competitive and improving access to care for patients.
