Agriculture -- Nova Scotians will be able to meet a farmer at Mic Mac Mall in Dartmouth on Friday, Aug. 18 and Saturday, Aug. 19.

Tourism Nova Scotia -- Tourism statistics released today, Aug. 17, show an 11 per cent increase in non-resident, overnight visitors to Nova Scotia in June. This is the fourth straight June that tourism numbers have gone up.

Communities, Culture and Heritage -- Nova Scotians will have the opportunity to learn about the province's geological treasures at the 52nd annual Nova Scotia Gem and Mineral Show.

A community garden and park at Northwood in Bedford is one of 14 projects in the Halifax Regional Municipality receiving Recreation Facility Development Program grants to help people make physical and community activity a part of their daily lives.

Service Nova Scotia -- Service Nova Scotia is making Nova Scotians aware of unlicensed activity at a Bedford funeral home.
