Natural Resources -- Nova Scotia has launched a new fund to boost the province’s mineral sector and help the search for mineral deposits across the province.

Public Service Commission -- Government is now hiring students across the province for the spring and summer.

Communities, Culture and Heritage -- Volunteers from across Nova Scotia, including representatives from Mi’kmaw communities, were honoured at the province's 44th annual Provincial Volunteer Award Ceremony today, April 9, at the Westin Nova Scotian in Halifax.

Executive Council -- Provincial government offices on Cape Breton Island (Inverness, Richmond and Victoria counties and Cape Breton Regional Municipality) will delay opening today, April 9, until 10 a.m. due to weather and road conditions.

Finance and Treasury Board -- Finance and Treasury Board Minister Karen Casey introduced the Financial Measures (2018) Act today, April 6.

Communities, Culture and Heritage -- The Gaelic community will have an opportunity to play a more active role in shaping and supporting the future of the Gaelic College in St. Anns, Victoria Co.

Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal / Health and Wellness -- Another five Nova Scotia companies and two New Brunswick companies have been awarded the latest contracts for the Dartmouth General Hospital’s expansion and renovation.

Justice -- Fourteen of the province’s top lawyers are being awarded the prestigious Queen’s Counsel (Q.C.) designation.

Justice -- La nouvelle loi sur la réglementation du cannabis (Cannabis Control Act) de la Nouvelle-Écosse établit le cadre législatif de la province pour la légalisation du cannabis à usage récréatif. Justice -- Nova Scotia’s new Cannabis Control Act establishes the province’s legislative framework for recreational cannabis legalization. The act was introduced today, April 3, by Attorney General and Justice Minister Mark Furey.

Auditor General -- Dans son rapport d'avril 2018 au sujet du suivi des recommandations de 2014 et 2015, publié aujourd'hui 3 avril, le vérificateur général Michael Pickup a souligné que le gouvernement fait un très bon travail dans l'application des recommandations formulées dans le cadre de vérifications précédentes.
