Innovacorp / Business -- A new pain relief company is receiving $50,000 in funding and business guidance through Innovacorp’s 2018 Spark Innovation Challenge, a provincewide competition for new technology companies. The business, Panag Pharma, is one of four winners selected in the Halifax region.

Premier's Office -- Premier Stephen McNeil announced changes to the Executive Council (cabinet) today, July 5.

Service Nova Scotia -- More illegal tobacco has been taken off the streets of Nova Scotia following a short-term investigation by Service Nova Scotia's Compliance and Special Investigations Unit.

Regulatory Affairs and Service Effectiveness -- More than 20 initiatives that are underway or now completed will provide $23 million in savings for Nova Scotia businesses. This represents 93 per cent of government’s goal to reduce regulatory burden by $25 million by December 2018.

Communities, Culture and Heritage -- Investing in arts and culture helps build diverse, vibrant and healthy communities across Nova Scotia. Today, July 4, government announced investment in 31 projects approved in 2017-18 under the $1.5 million Culture Innovation Fund.

Education and Early Childhood Development -- Nova Scotians from Indigenous, African Nova Scotian, Acadian-Francophone and immigrant communities will now have access to a bursary if they are interested in becoming early childhood educators.
