Finance and Treasury Board -- Amendments to the Securities Act introduced today, Sept. 27, will create consistency with other provinces and improve enforcement of securities laws.

Education and Early Childhood Development -- Jusqu’à 37 nouveaux autobus scolaires seront ajoutés dans la région d’Halifax pour améliorer le service et l’efficacité du transport scolaire par autobus des élèves cette année.

Education and Early Childhood Development -- Up to 37 more school buses will be added in the Halifax region to help improve bus service for students this school year.

Internal Services -- The annual report from Information and Access to Privacy Services for the 2017-18 fiscal year was released today, Sept. 27.

Twelve members were appointed today, Sept. 27, to the Provincial Advisory Council on Education. The council will be a strong voice for the needs of students, families and communities.

Finance and Treasury Board -- The first update to Budget 2018-19 projects a small increase to the surplus as revenue projections rise.

Ombudsman -- Des services améliorés pour les Néo-Écossais qui présentent une demande d'aide à l'emploi et au revenu, ainsi que de nouvelles mesures pour aider les parents et les tuteurs atteints d'un handicap à accompagner leurs enfants à l'arrêt d'autobus font partie des réformes initiées par le Bureau de l'ombudsman au cours de l'année financière 2017-2018.

Ombudsman -- Improved services for Nova Scotians applying for employment support and income services, and new accommodations to help disabled parents and guardians get their children to school bus stops were among the reforms triggered by the Office of the Ombudsman during the fiscal year 2017-18.

Agriculture -- Government is taking steps toward the long-term sustainability of the current Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition site in Bible Hill.

Labour and Advanced Education -- The province will provide additional funding to support two important arts and culture centres at Cape Breton University (CBU).

Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation (from July 2018) -- Responsible Gambling Awareness Week runs from October 1-7.

Municipal Affairs -- Amendments to the Municipal Government Act and the Halifax Regional Charter introduced today, Sept. 25, will require municipalities to plan for the efficient use of land within their boundaries.

Municipal Affairs -- Legislation introduced today, Sept. 25, will allow the consolidation of the Town of Windsor and the Municipality of the District of West Hants.

Premier's Office / Public Service Commission -- An individual, two teams and an entire office were honoured with the Premier’s Award of Excellence, today, Sept. 25, in recognition of their exceptional efforts.

Energy and Mines -- Building on the recent success of the SolarHomes program, Nova Scotians continue to add more clean, renewable solar energy to the electricity grid with support from the province.
