New Chair Named to Housing Task Force
Municipal Affairs and Housing -- Vicki Elliott-Lopez has been named the new Chair of the Executive Panel on Housing in the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM).
Disaster Financial Assistance for Uninsurable Wildfire Losses
Emergency Management Office -- The Disaster Financial Assistance Program is now open for municipalities and others who suffered uninsurable losses as a result of this year’s wildfires in Halifax Regional Municipality, Shelburne County and Yarmouth County.
HRM Shelter Opening, Expanding
Community Services -- The new emergency shelter in Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) will open Friday, November 17, at 4 p.m. Located at 197-199 Windmill Rd. in Dartmouth, it will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week until May 2026.
