There are no changes to our border policy at this time.

COVID - 19 / Health and Wellness -- As of today, Oct. 9, Nova Scotia has three active cases of COVID-19. No new cases were identified Thursday, Oct. 8.

Health and Wellness -- Government wants to encourage more people to become certified to work in the continuing care field in Nova Scotia. To support this, more opportunities have been added to a second year of the bursary program for continuing care assistants.

Fisheries and Aquaculture -- Acid rain in Nova Scotia harms fish habitat important to sportfishing, valued at about $65 million annually to the provincial economy.

Justice -- Art and pop culture are being used by a Halifax group to fight and address the impacts of crime and violence.

Lands and Forestry / Agriculture -- Forestry companies can better develop and adapt their businesses with easier access to financing. This has been a common theme delivered by the sector and that is why government has developed an improved lending program for forestry companies.
