25 New Cases of COVID-19, 38 Recoveries
COVID - 19 / Health and Wellness -- NOTE: Nova Scotia is not issuing COVID-19 news releases or updating the COVID-19 data dashboard on weekends or holidays. Tuesday updates will include weekend data.
Today, October 8, Nova Scotia is reporting 25 new cases of COVID-19 and 38 recoveries.
Province Supports Emergency Services Providers
Municipal Affairs and Housing -- Ground search and rescue, volunteer fire departments and other emergency services provider groups will get more than $1.14 million from the province to buy equipment that will help them save lives.

Vaccination Required for Provincial Government Employees
Public Service Commission -- All 11,000 direct employees of the provincial government will be required to be fully vaccinated by November 30.
First Independent Review of Accessibility Act
Justice -- The Province has appointed Dr. Katie Aubrecht, a disability and seniors care scholar, to conduct an independent review of the Accessibility Act.
